Drizzle turned to rain, turned to drizzle, on Monday evening for the visit of Banbridge, to The Dub, to play Queens in a Denman Ulster Shield fixture.
From push back, Banbridge pressed the Queens defence, not allowing Queens players time to dwell on the ball & starving them of possession. Banbridge dominated territory, finding space for runners to move into, stretching the Queens defence. At times Queens were content to put 11 players behind the ball & defend the line of their 25.

Banbridge stifled any Queens attacks, occasional forays into the Banbridge half were quickly shut down by a dominant defence.
Despite Banbridge having the lion’s share of territory & possession, a stubborn Queens defence held out in a scoreless 1st half.
