It was a hard day at the office for Ulster U18 girls on Sunday as they were put under the cosh by a talented Connacht side in the first of three women’s games at Ballina RFC.
Despite the one sided score line there wasn’t that much between the teams. The Ulster players certainly put in the effort but the Connacht players look to have a lot more rugby under their belts and where Ulster were hesitant, Connacht were clinical.
The first half was reasonably competitive but it was connacht who were first on the scoreboard with a try from Molly Boote, converted by Clara Barrett, on the 10th minute to give Connacht a 7 -0 lead.
