On Wednesday, in the first game of the Burney Cup Semi Final double header, at Lisnagarvey HC, Banbridge Academy played Cookstown High School.

Though Banbridge had the best of the play in the 1st quarter, there was no score.

4 against 1, Cookstown paced their defence in the 1st half

Banbridge’s pressure, early in the 2nd quarter, yielded an 18th minute goal by Matthew McKee. Cookstown responded 5 minutes later through Ewan Cruickshank to leave the teams level 1-1 at halftime.
