After a brief hike, from an available parking space, I eventually caught up with the Forster Cup match between Malone 3rd XV and Academy 2nd XV at Orangefield on Saturday afternoon.
No lights so I only caught the first half and a bit of the second of this entertaining game.
It looked at the start that Academy were going to run away with the game when Jack Coyle went over in the corner after a minute.
This was quickly followed by Jay McCrum scoring in the opposite corner a couple minutes later to push the score out to 0 – 10 in Academy’s favour after 3 minutes.
