I caught up with an U17 club friendly match between Larne and Ballyclare at the Glynn on Saturday morning as school players are released to play for their local clubs after the school season ends in March.
Both teams stated the game brightly but Larne were first to score with Jonny Dallas busting through the centre to finish under the posts after 5 minutes. Ethan Duncan added the extras to give Larne a 7 – 0 lead.
Ballyclare responded less than ten minutes later with Danny Hull bustling over after a period of pressure in the Larne 22, Paul McCrea added the extras to tie the game at 7 – 7.
