Goldsborough Trophy: 2022 U21 Club Rugby Competition

Instonians hosted the 2022 Goldsborough Trophy at Shaws Bridge on Easter Monday with eight club sides taking place in the competition.

The competition, which has been running since 1980 consisted of two, four team, leagues as below.

LEAGUE ALEAGUE BInstonians RFCBallymena RFCSuttonians RFC*Belfast Harlequins RFCBangor RFCAcademy RFCEnniskillen RFCCity of Armagh RFC
*Suttonians RFC come in as late replacements from Queen’s University RFC

The teams in each league played each other over six 12 minutes each way games. The top 2 sides from each league went through to semi finals with the winners of the semi final competing in the final.
