Energia Womens AIL. Week 13 Predictions

We are currently carrying out a necessary behind-the-scenes upgrade to how images are stored and delivered on The Front Row Union Sports. With over 770,000 images on the site, we are moving our entire image library to a dedicated cloud storage service. This means images will load faster for you, regardless of where you are in the world, and the site will be more reliable overall.

As we are working on three separate versions of images during the offload process, the site cache sometimes struggles to keep up with which version to display and occasionally post grid images or complete galleries may fail to appear. This is a temporary side effect of the migration process — the image exists and is safe, it is simply in the process of being moved to its new home and identified as being there. A refresh of the page will usually bring them back, however, if it does not please contact john@thefrontrowunion.com stating clearly the post address and we will restore it as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and appreciate your patience.

We expect the bulk of the image migration to be completed by the end of June 2026, with a fully upgraded version of the site ready to launch in August 2026. Once that work is done, the site will be noticeably faster, images will load more reliably, and you will not see any further disruption of this kind. Thank you for your continued support of The Front Row Union Sports.

I’m sure, like us, you feel that there is some unfinished business out there.

To give you a chance to take back control of your season we have decided to roll through the unplayed matches and find our unofficial Women’s AIL Champions by giving you all a chance to vote on the outcome of the game that have been cancelled.

It’s PURELY A BIT OF FUN in these unprecedented times, but play along, mobilise your club community, and we’ll update the league tables and carry it on through WEEK 14 and the league play offs and final when those fixture weekends fall due.

HOW IT WORKS

Vote for the team you want to win each match. You will have to submit your vote separately for each match you want to vote on.

Whichever team gets the most votes will be declared the winner and they will be awarded 4 match points.

In the result of the teams receiving the same amount of votes the match will be declared a draw and each team will receive 2 match points.

If a team gets more than 100 individual votes in any game they will receive a bonus point irrespective of whether they win or lose.

Going forward we’ll set up the polls for the same week that the matches were due to be played  but before we get to this week’s fixtures we have two catch up matches that were still to be decided.

CATCH UP MATCHES

Will Malone get off the bottom of the table? Will Cooke get their first win league win since Week 4? Or, will Suttonians beat them both and put pressure on Blackrock and Old Belvedere for a top four finish and a place in the playoffs?

Only you (and your friends, relatives, clubmates and anyone else you know basically) can decide. Vote for the refix matches below.

Voting on these matches ends midnight Friday 27th March 2020.

WEEK 13 MATCHES

There are some cracker matches in this round, not least Malone v Cooke with either side possibly going into this game looking for back to back wins. 😯

However, it could just as easily be Suttonians going for their third win on the trot to put real pressure on Blackrock and Old Belvedere who have tough home games against UL Bohemian and Railway Union respectively.

Could Week 13 be UL Bohemian’s first defeat of the season? Surely not! 😈

Voting on these matches ends midnight Saturday 28th March 2020.
