We caught up with the Women’s All Ireland Hockey League Match between Ulster University Elks and Catholic Institute at Jordanstown Sports Village on Saturday afternoon.

The game was a match up between the bottom two; the prize on offer a possible chance to climb out of the relegation zone.

Bethany Scott opened the scoring for Elks.

The Elks made their intentions clear with a lively start which which saw Bethany Scott find the net for a 1 – 0 lead after three minutes.

Institute looked for a response but the Elks defence held firm and they took their lead into the second quarter.
