Late Wednesday morning Northern Cricket Union U16 Girls faced North West Cricket Union U16 Girls in a Cricket Ireland Youth Interpro Girls U16 T20 game at Campbell College.
The Northern Cricket Union (NCU) Girls U16 secured a 17 run victory over the North West Cricket Union (NWCU) Girls U16 in their Cricket Ireland Youth Interpro T20 matchup at Campbell College, Belfast. After winning the toss and electing to field, the North West side was tasked with containing a disciplined Northern batting attack that ultimately set a formidable total of 132/1 in their 20 overs.
Northern’s innings was anchored by a massive 105-run opening partnership between Lucie Harper and Katie West. Harper carried her bat through the entire innings, top-scoring with a brilliant, unbeaten 69 off 68 deliveries, which included five boundaries and three sixes.
