Friday was Finals Day at Windsor Tennis Club. Though the scores might not suggest it, both the Girls and Boys Finals were keenly contested with long games played out in the intense heat.
Girls Singles
The Girls singles competition reached a thrilling conclusion at Windsor Tennis Club, with top seed Hermione Korpanec Davies (GBR) capturing the prestigious title in straight sets. Facing off against the tournament’s second seed, Ireland’s Laura Carvalho e Silva Kracke, Korpanec Davies put on a commanding display. While Kracke had shown immense resilience to battle through a tough three-set semi-final earlier in the tournament, the top seed proved too strong in the final, breaking at crucial moments to secure a clinical 6-4, 6-2 victory. The win caps off a flawless week for Korpanec Davies, who lifted the trophy without dropping a single set.
