We caught up with the Junior Shield Clash between Larne and CIYMS at the Glynn on Saturday afternoon.

The math featured last season’s Championship 3 champions against the Championship 2 champions and both sides were probably more intent in keeping their new league status than enjoying a cup run.

Ryn MCAlister opend the scorung for Larne.

I was about 10 minutes late getting to his one and Larne were reading 7 – 0 thanks to a Ryan McAlister try, converted by Aaron McBride.

Shortly after I arrived Larne’s Jacob Swan broke clear for their second try. McBride converted to take the score to 10 – 0.
