Our videographer caught up with the Championship 2 clash between CIYMS and Limavady at Belmont on Saturday afternoon.
Limavady were quick out of the blocks with an early try from Dylan Purdy, Converted By Benjamin Howe for a 0 – 7 lead.
Howe slotted over a penalty on the 8th minute to extend their lead to 10 points and three minutes later Howe stepped up again to knock over a conversion after a try by Jamie Miller to take the score to 0 – 17.
It got worse for the home side as Miller crossed for his second try, this one unconverted to take the score to 0 – 22 at the end of the first quarter.
CI started their comeback 22 minutes in with Mark Scott leading the charge for their first try. This was quickly followed by a try from Paddy Beverland before Scott went over for his second, all in the space of 10 minutes. Jack Bonner converted one to take the score to 17 – 22 with still 8 minutes to go to half time.
