The final game in the Ulster Hockey Club Finals at Stormont on Saturday was the Women’s Minor Cup between Mossley 5th XI and Portadown 3rd XI.
The game got off to a fast start with Portadown pressing Mossley immediately. Some fine work by Mossley’s keeper, McConnell, kept the scores level until the end of the first quarter.
At the opposite end, Megan Reaney was in fine form also keeping the Mossley forwards at bay but near the end of the second quarter, it was Portadown who struck first with No 14, Ellen Henry slotting home from mid circle.
