Queen’s University and Nass met in an AIL 1B bottom three clash at Newforge Sports early Saturday afternoon, the match switched from the Dub due to waterlogged pitches.

Queen’s were needing a win to stand any chance of climbing out of the bottom two, to avoid a promotion/relegation playoff.

Both teams got stuck in from the start with the visitors pressing strongly. Queens countered and it Callum Florence ran in the first try, ably converted by No 10, James Humphreys to give the home side a 7- 0 lead.

It didn’t take long before the visitors got their own score with their forwards driving No 7, Will O’Brien over near the posts . . .
