Women All Ireland: Pegasus 3 Monkstown 1

Pegasus welcomed Monkstown to The Dub late Saturday afternoon for a crucial relegation battle in the Women’s All Ireland Hockey League.

Pegasus, buoyed in recent weeks by the return of Ruth McCandless and Lucy McKee, started well. After a few close attempts, Stef Ardis scored the home team’s first goal, guiding the ball past the keeper’s right.
