Premiership Women: Ballynahinch 14 Queen’s University 61

I caught up with the Women’s Premier match between Ballynahinch and Queen’s University on Sunday afternoon at Ballymacarn Park.

I was tempted to turn round as I drove in from Sprucefield under heavy fog and frozen hedgerows thinking that the match would never be on but the game was played above the fog in bright sunlight in probably the warmest conditions of a cold weekend.

Li Ong had an influential debut for Queen’s

The conditions suited the Queens free flowing style and they ran in two early tries through Victoria Jackson and Emma McArdle for a 0 – 10 lead after 10 minutes.
