With the cold weather causing a host of cancellations I decided to stay close to home on Saturday and picked up the Championship 3 game between Larne and Civil Service at the ever tropical Glynn playing fields.
I must admit I was still feeling the cold after my earlier schools game and Civil Service must have been feeling something similar as they never really got into this game.
The evergreen Eddie Hunter opened the scoring for Larne after a trademark barging run from youngster Ryan McAlister had put the home side in the Service 22. Robin Wynn added the extras to put Larne 7 – 0 ahead.
