The newly formed Instonians U14 side and Lurgan U14’s met in the final of the Ulster Clubs Bowl Final at Meadowbank Sports arena on Saturday morning.

I missed the first few minutes as I was expecting access from Rainey Old boys but with the gates locle I had to scamper round to the Meadowbank access and I arrived just in time to catch Instonians No 14 Fred Patterson scampering over for the opening try. James Lewis added the extras to give Inst a 7 – 0 lead around the 5 minute mark.
