Having arrived at Londonderry Park ahead of schedule I was able to pick up the second half of the Ulster Hockey Junior 5 game between Ards 3rd XI and Randalstown 3rd XI.
The second half got under way just as I arrived and Randalstown were pretty quick off the mark with a penalty corner goal, just as I was getting out the camera, to take the score to 0 – 3 in Randalstown’s favour.
The rest of the game was fairly even with the experienced Randalstown defence content to sit on their lead against the willing Ards attack.
