Premiership Women: Malone 24 Queen’s University 17

I caught up with the Ulster Women’s Premiership top of the table clash on Sunday between Malone and Queens University at Gibson Park.

As I headed to this one I was expecting a fairly comfortable win for, the recently ejected AIL side, Malone with any spirited resistance from Queen’s falling by the wayside as the game progressed and that appeared to be the way it was going after a dominant first half from the Red Sox.

It took Malone 25 minutes to break down the Queen’s defence, the classy Emma Jordan finding the space out wide after another bruising run from Lauren Maginnes.
