All Ireland League 2A: Queens 48 UL Bohemians 19

As part of my triple header at The Dub, I made my way down to The Arena to take in the AIL2A fixture, between Queens & UL Bohemians, from Limerick. Queens had lost and drawn their last two league games and were hoping to recover ground on leaders, Blackrock, with a win. 

Johnny Hunter beats the ball to the dead ball line for Queens’ 1st try

Both teams were decidedly jittery, with neither able to impose themselves on the other. Johnny Hunter gave Queens a 12th minute lead, when he touched down, just inside the dead ball line, after a kick through.

Bohs took the lead after 20 minutes, when Kieran O’Shea drove over. Harry Byrne’s conversion made it 7 – 5 to Bohs.
