Belfast Harlequins welcomed Sligo to Deramore Park for their opening All Ireland League 2B fixture on Saturday afternoon.
Making a brisk start, the visitors took full advantage of two penalties in quick succession, No 10, Euan Brown making no mistake with his kicking.
Quins came right back at them and after a period of sustained pressure, where Matt McKelvey was just held up in front of the posts, No 3, Cameron Doak picked up the ball to crash over for their first try which was converted by Paul Kerr to take the score to 7 – 6 in Quins’ favour.
