Queen’s University came up against University College Cork in the first round of EYHL Division 2 Women’s finals on Saturday afternoon. The winners are scheduled to meet Ards for the promotion deciding match on 9th April 2022 at St Columbas College, Dublin.

I arrived just before the end of the second quarter with Queen’s enjoying a 2 – 0 lead thanks to goals from Zoe Wilson, on the 7th minute, and Jenna McCarlie, just past the half hour mark.

The return of Irish International Zoe Wilson added plenty of punch to an impressive Queen’s side.

It’s the first time I’ve had to view Wilson this season and the returning international certainly added plenty of punch to the Queen’s side, her presence in the back four allowing, captain, Erin Getty
