Queens welcomed Malone, a division above them in the AIL, to Upper Malone on Saturday for a Senior Cup Quarter Final.
A delayed kick off in the McCrea Cup semi final, coupled with injury time and the need to relocate to the main car park and find a space meant that I missed the first 20 minutes.
By the time that I had sat down Queens were leading 19-0 through tries by Andrew McGrath, Conor McKee and Robbie Johnston and 2 James Humphreys conversions.
Playing with the wind, Malone struggled with possession, with their heavier pack given the run-around by Queens more mobile unit.

They eventually registered a try on 36 minutes, by Dave Cave, converted by Callum Smith, to bring the score to 19-7.
Queens had the last say in the 1st half, when McKee sniped in for his 2nd try to leave Queens leading 24-7 at the break.
Playing with the wind Queens attacked from deep and had a productive half.

Tries by David Whitten, 55 minutes, McGrath, 57 minutes, Ben Heath, 67 minutes and Simon McMaster, 80 minutes, all converted by Humphreys, moved Queens out to a commanding 52-7 victory and a semi final place on 16th April.
