Ballyclare High welcomed the much vaunted Methodist College Belfast to the Rashee Road on Saturday morning for a Schools Cup Quarter Final match.
Ballyclare took it to the Belfast side for the bulk of the first half after an early Callum Cochrane penalty gave the home side a 3 – 0 lead.
Ferocious tackling was the order of the first half in a match that became a bit of an arm wrestle in worsening conditions. Ballyclare looked good value for their lead with some outstanding turnovers at the breakdowns.

Unfortunately, a yellow card for Ballyclare’s scrum half, towards the end of the first half, gave Methody the space they hadn’t been able . . .
