Larne Grammar welcomed Limavady Grammar to Lower Cairncastle Road for a 3rd Round Medallion Shield match on a dull and damp Saturday morning.

Limavady started on the front foot but the Larne defence set the tone with some strong tackles and after absorbing the early pressure the home side broke up field for No 8 Ethan Anderson to crash over, bouncing off the post padding, to ground the ball for the opening score. Ethan Duncan added the extras and Larne led 7 – 0 after 8 minutes.

With their tails up, Larne continued to press and, four minutes later Adam Wallace added their second try, grounding the ball at the bottom of a heap of players out wide, to give Larne . . .
