Pegasus welcomed Ards to Newforge on Monday night for a much needed hit out for two of the form teams in Ulster.
We haven’t caught up with, the reigning All Ireland Champions, Pegasus for a while but during that time the gears on the Lean Mean Red Machine haven’t been meshing as smoothly as they should resulting in the Pegs slipping from top spot to third in the EYHL, albeit with a game in hand, having picked up a few draws.
Ards, who are pushing for promotion into the EYHL, have remained undefeated in the Ulster Premiership and this was an opportunity to show if “orange is going to be the new red” anytime soon.
On the evidence of this match it looks as though Pegasus are still going to be top dogs on the Ulster circuit for a while yet though Ards maybe aren’t as far behind as they think.
