Because of car park congestion, I arrived at Pollock Park, mid way through the 1st half with Lurgan leading 14-0 through tries by Peter Martin and Andy Stevenson, both converted by Elliot McKew.

There’s a line in the Dylan Thomas poem, ‘Do not go gentle into that goodnight’ which says, ‘Rage, rage against the dying of the light’. Well that was me on Saturday afternoon in the gloom in Lurgan!

Lurgan increased their lead when McKew, scored and converted his own try to bring Lurgan’s lead up to 21-0
