Championship Women: Ballynahinch 37 Lisburn 10

On Sunday Ballynahinch met Lisburn in a Women’s Championship League game at Ballymacarn Park.

Lisburn settled first and after a series of phases took the lead after 5 minutes, when Lauren Szymura touched down for an unconverted try in the corner.

Ballynahinch slowly came back into the game and were rewarded with a Jane Patton penalty goal after 16 minutes, to pull the score back to 3 – 5.

Play continued between the 22s, until Lisburn No 8, Jessica Wray, broke free to score an unconverted try and give Lisburn a 10 – 3 lead after 25 minutes . . .
