The game started off quickly and BHSFP’s Connor Elliott crossed the white wash on the 13th minute to score the first try for BHSFP.
Matthew Connelly made it try number two when he darted down the left wing to score a great try to take the score out to 10 – 0 on the 15th minute.
With Civil Service down to 14 men following a yellow been for a high tackle, BHSFP continued to dominate with Sam McBride ploughing his way through the midfield to score under the sticks. Jake Hanlon added the conversion to give BHSFP a 17 – 0 lead.
Civil Service, determined not end the half without a point, pushed forward and scored two very quick tries, both under the posts. First Jack Duffin smashed his way over the line to be followed followed by Chris Magee who broke through the defence to narrow the scoreline. Both tries were converted by David Clark to take the score to 17 -14 at half time.
The second half started very like the first with BHSFP’s second row Ian Scott getting an early try, converted by Hanlon, to push the to 24 – 14.
BHSFP upped the pace and pushed on to keep the scoreboard clicking over with Ryan Elliott crossing five minutes later, Hanlon confidently knocked over the extras to make it 31 – 14 after 55 minutes.
It was all one way traffic now and the Belfast High Former Pupils added two more tries with Connelly crossed for his second try before Connor Elliott completed his brace with the final try of the game. Hanlon converted both to give a final score of BHSFP 45 Civil Service 14.
