We are currently carrying out a necessary behind-the-scenes upgrade to how images are stored and delivered on The Front Row Union Sports. With over 770,000 images on the site, we are moving our entire image library to a dedicated cloud storage service. This means images will load faster for you, regardless of where you are in the world, and the site will be more reliable overall.

As we are working on three separate versions of images during the offload process, the site cache sometimes struggles to keep up with which version to display and occasionally post grid images or complete galleries may fail to appear. This is a temporary side effect of the migration process — the image exists and is safe, it is simply in the process of being moved to its new home and identified as being there. A refresh of the page will usually bring them back, however, if it does not please contact john@thefrontrowunion.com stating clearly the post address and we will restore it as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and appreciate your patience.

We expect the bulk of the image migration to be completed by the end of June 2026, with a fully upgraded version of the site ready to launch in August 2026. Once that work is done, the site will be noticeably faster, images will load more reliably, and you will not see any further disruption of this kind. Thank you for your continued support of The Front Row Union Sports.

We caught up with Premier League leaders Ards last night at Strathearn School where they entertained Randalstown in a league match.

The North Down Dynamo’s produced a dominant display to beat Randalstown 6 – 0 with an impressively accurate and controlled performance.

Randalstown can count themselves unlucky to meet Ards in the middle of a fine run as the Co Antrim side enjoyed a good start to the first quarter, breaking from deep and keeping the Ards keeper on her toes with a couple of early chances.

Randalstown started well, taking on the Ards defence with quick accurate breaks.

However, Ards began to find their stride as their crisp passes began to hit their target with increasing regularity and they made their breakthrough at the end of the first quarter with hitting the net from open play.

Frankie Brown places the opener beyond the Randalstown keeper.

An impressive second quarter from Ards saw find the net with a reverse shot before claimed her first of the evening, guiding in another effort at goal from Brown, taking the score to 3 – 0 at the break.

There’s not a lot the Randalstown coaches could say to their squad at half time, they were playing well and chasing hard, it was just an excellent performance from Ards who’s crisp accurate pass rang round the ground as the ball unerringly found the stick.

Ard’s Ali Carson heads for goal in the second half against Randalstown

The ‘Town did create a couple of penalty corners in the second half but Ards continued to dominate proceedings, with Malseed pulling the strings, and added their fourth in the third quarter with adding a fifth in the final quarter before the hard working Carson completed her brace in the closing minutes to give Ards a 6 – 0 win.
