We caught up with this game on the stroke of half time.

Queen’s were leading 17 -7 through tries by Harry McMeekin, David Keelan and Simon McMaster.

Belfast Harlequins had taken the lead early on through a Owen Henry try, converted by Alex Armstrong.

The second half was much more ‘nip and tuck’, as the hot sunshine drained stamina.

Harlequins reduced the lead on 68 minutes when, after a sniping run, Armstrong dotted down under the posts. He added the points to make the score 14 – 17.

Minutes later Keelin Coyle extended Queen’s lead with an unconverted try in the corner to leave the final score 22 – 14 to Queen’s.
