Schools Bowl: Wellington College 40 Antrim Grammar 0

Wellington Grammar moved to the top of the Ulster Schools Bowl Qualifying league with a comprehensive 40 – 0 win against Antrim Grammar on Saturday morning at Carolin Road.

The home side ran in three first half tries with wing crossing first to be followed by back row and scrum half . Out half converted all three to give the home side a 21 – 0 lead as the teams turned round.

Antrim had their moments throughout the game, but they just didn’t show enough consistency to make their chances count.  Wellington, on the other hand, inevitably came away with points when they got in the red zone.

Tom Stanfield scores the final try for a personal total of 15 points from a try and five conversions.

Campbell and McWatters both crossed for a second try each before Stanfield closed out the game with a try and conversion to give a final score of Wellington College 40 Antrim Grammar 0.
