Wellington Grammar moved to the top of the Ulster Schools Bowl Qualifying league with a comprehensive 40 – 0 win against Antrim Grammar on Saturday morning at Carolin Road.
The home side ran in three first half tries with wing Chris Campbell crossing first to be followed by back row Justin Bingham and scrum half Kyle McWaters. Out half Tom Stanfield converted all three to give the home side a 21 – 0 lead as the teams turned round.
Antrim had their moments throughout the game, but they just didn’t show enough consistency to make their chances count. Wellington, on the other hand, inevitably came away with points when they got in the red zone.
