UL Bohemian returned to Limerick on Saturday evening with an Energia All Ireland Cup Semi Final in the bag after a comprehensive 0 – 48 win at Gibson Park against Malone.
Malone continued to add to their experience in their journey of discovery through senior rugby and they were competitive for large parts of this game. However, they struggled to cope with the power and pace of their visitors when they moved up through the gears.

The game kicked off on Saturday evening after a minutes silence in memory of UL Bohemian’s player Sorcha Hollahan’s mum, Catherine O’Connell (Hollahan), who sadly passed away on Friday morning.
On a cold evening it was no surprise that it was, the form team of the season, UL Bohs that opened the scoring, after a few minutes, as winger Erin Coll, crossed out wide.

Tries from out half Rachel Allen and front row/back row Chloe Pearse followed shortly after before Sarah Quin added a power packed brace before the break, though Quin will be disappointed that her exploits in this game won’t count towards our AIL leading scorers table. 😀

Malone had a few chances with Ella Durkan, Shirelle Wilson and Gemma McCambley keeping the Bohs defence interested but the scoring continued in the visitors favour as Laura O’Mahoney, Niamh Kavanah and Edel Murphy all crossed in the second half.

Boh’s Allen added four conversion throughout the game to give a final score of Malone 0 UL Bohemian 48
