Club: Limavady 32 Ballymoney 15

Limavady’s topsy turvy season continued apace with an unexpected win against Ballymoney in this Kukri Ulster Rugby Championship Division 2 match.

The tone of the match was set with Limavady running in three first half tries from Daniel Irvine, Matthew Haslett and Sam Mackey, in response to an early Ballymoney penalty, taking the score to Limavady 17 Ballymoney 3 at the break.

Tom McClelland claimed the bonus point for Limavady ten minutes into the second half and Peter Wilson added a penalty shortly after to extend the lead to 25 – 3.

Ballymoney finally found a response mid way through the second half with two quick tries but Limavady had the final say with a last minute try from William McCleery, Wilson adding the conversion to give a final score of Limavady 32 Ballymoney 15.
