It was a 12.00 noon kick off at Shaw’s Bridge for the 2nd XV League fixture between Instonians II and Clogher Valley II.
Instonians took a 4th minute lead when Stefan Hillebrand crossed for a 5-0 lead. Fielding a weakened side Clogher held their own until Andrew Armstrong’s 31st minute try, followed quickly by Flyn Magee’s try on 34 minutes for a 15-0 lead.
Clogher Valley responded when Jason Bothwell scored under the posts in the closing seconds of the 1st half. Neil Cullen’s conversion saw Clogher turn round 7-15 down, at the break.
