Schools Friendly: Belfast Royal Academy 23 Sullivan Upper School 7

Belfast Royal Academy welcomed Sullivan Upper School to Roughfort on Saturday morning for a 1st XV friendly match.

The match was played in sunny weather though the ground was a touch soft underneath following the previous evenings deluge. Sullivan took the lead after 10 minutes thanks to a try from wing forward James McMonigle. Harry McKeown added the extras to give the visitors a 0 – 7 lead.

In a tight first half, with a few stoppages, it was a while until we saw the next score. It finally came on the stroke of half time as Peter Richardson barged over for his first try of the afternoon. No conversion so the teams turned round with BRA trailing 5 – 7.
