The second half was much more ‘nip and tuck’, as the hot sunshine drained stamina.

Harlequins reduced the lead on 68 minutes when, after a sniping run, Armstrong dotted down under the posts. He added the points to make the score 14 – 17.

Minutes later extended Queen’s lead with an unconverted try in the corner to leave the final score 22 – 14 to Queen’s.
