We caught up with the Schools Senior Friendly between Larne Grammar and Banbridge Academy at Larne’s Upper Cairncastle Playing Fields on Saturday morning.

Larne got off to an impressive start with a brace of tries from Ryan McDowell, both converted by Jonnie Kennedy for a 14 – 0 lead.

The home team continued to push forward and showing a fair degree of maturity in their decision making they picked up another 9 points from the boot of Kennedy who landed two penalties and a drop goal, in the next 12 minutes, which rattled the score along to 23 – 0.
