We caught up with the Men’s All Ireland Hockey League match between Banbridge and YMCA at Havelock Park on Sunday afternoon.
YMCA took the game to Banbridge in the early exchanges, and they opened the scoring 11 minutes in when Adam Walker found the net for a 0 – 1 lead.

The game was equally competitive in the second quarter, but despite chances at both ends, there were no further scores, and the teams changed ends with Banbridge still trailing by 1 goal.
Banbridge pressed hard throughout the second half, creating several chances. They got their breakthrough in the third quarter as Matthew McKee found the net to tie the game 1 – 1 on the 50th minute, and it was still all square when the teams went into the final quarter.
