Ulster Shield: Queen’s University 1 Ulster University Elks 2 Final

We caught up with the Denman Ulster Shield Final between Queen’s University and Ulster University Elks at Havelock Park on Wednesday evening.

The Elks had the better of the first half and they took a 0 – 1 lead into half time after a field goal from Rachel Houston at the en of Q1.

Rachel Houston opened the scoring for Elks.

Queen’s came more into the game in the second half but Elks doubled their lead right at the end of Q3 as Audrey Sawers converted a penalty corner to take the score to 0 – 2 as the teams went into the final quarter.
