After 30 minutes of soccer, I moved up to take in the 2nd half of Queens Men’s Premier fixture with visitors Kilkeel.
It was 2-2 at halftime with Queens goals from Ethan Clotworthy and Ben Law cancelled out by Kilkeel goals from Neil Stevenson and Jordan McCartan.
Queens had the lion’s share of possession early in the 3rd quarter and it was perhaps against the run of play when Jordan McCartan gabbed his 2nd goal to put Kilkeel 3-2 up after 41 minutes. Queens couldn’t take any chances, and the score remained 3-2 to Kilkeel at the end of the 3rd quarter.
The 4th quarter was only 2 minutes old when Taylor McConnell slotted in Kilkeel’s 4th goal to put the Kilkeel lead out to 4-2. Any chance of a draw vanished when Queens . . .
