Cooke welcomed Women’s AIL newcomers Tullow to Shaws Bridge late on Saturday afternoon for a second round All Ireland League match.
The home team had a fairly dominant first half, though Tullow made them work hard for their scores and the visitors came more into the game as the half developed.

Cooke got on the scoreboard after 6 minutes when Cara O’Kane crashed over from close range after a period of pressure on the Tullow line. Amanda Morton added the extras for a 7 – 0 lead.
Tullow enjoyed a good period of possession and they tried to work the ball up field, with some success, before Cooke crossed for their second score with Ilse van Staden crashing over from close range out wide to take the score to 12 – 0.
