We caught up with the Ladies Senior 2 match between Saintfield and Castle at Saintfield Hockey Club early Saturday afternoon.

Kelly Bowman opens the scoring for Saintfield

Saintfield started well with two goals in the first quarter. Kelly Bowman opened the scoring after 8 minutes and Rebecca McCallion added the second 6 minutes later to give the home team a 2 – 0 lead.

Castle hit back towards the end of the second quarter with Christine Wade finding the net for the victors to take the score to 2 – 1 as the teams changed ends.
