On Monday afternoon, very close neighbours and rivals Friends School and Wallace High School met at Stormont in the final of the Schools Shield.

Wallace took control early on, dominating midfield and pushing Friends back to defend deep in their half.

Hollie Givan opened the scoring on 5 minutes with an angled shot for 1-0 to Wallace.

Victoria Murphy, centre, added Wallace’s 2nd goal

Further pressure yielded a Victoria Murphy goal on 9 minutes for 2-0. Wallace continued to press. The 1st quarter ended 2-0 to Wallace.
