While at Roughfort on Saturday I also caught up with the second half of the Provincial East match between Academy 2XV and Belfast Harlequins 3XV.
I joined the match just after the start of the second half and Academy were leading 38 – 0 though their influential out half Josh McKee was in the process of getting a yellow card as I sat down.
It certainly didn’t seem to be as one sided a game as the scoreline suggested as Quins enjoyed a good period of possession which culminated in a try for their full back, converted by their scrum half to take the score to 38 – 7 around the 50 minute mark.
