We caught up with the Junior Shield group match between Ballyclare 2XV and CIYMS at the Cloughan on Saturday afternoon.

Our notes are a bit confused on this one so give john@thefrontrowunion.com a shout if corrections needed.

CI enjoyed a strong first half with tries from AN Other, Ewan Nelson and James Kelly, two converted by Paddy Beverland, to take a 19 – 0 lead.

Ballyclare replied late in the half with a try and conversion from Rhys Cobain to take the score to 7 – 19 at half time.
