It was another day of Ulster Hockey club finals at a sunny Stormont Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. First up on the sand pitch we had Queen’s University 4th XI against Lisnagarvey 3rd XI in the Junior Cup Final.
Queen’s got of to a lively start but, after the initial flurry of activity from the students, Lisnagarvey looked to be getting on top by the end of Q1.
Garvey took the lead towards the end of Q2 when Laura Johnston got on the end of a rebound from a penalty corner to take a 0 – 1 lead into the second half.
Queen’s created a few chances in the third quarter as the looked for an equaliser but the Garvey defence held firm to . . .
