On Saturday, at Stormont, Limavady faced South Antrim in the Ladies Intermediate Cup Final. Stormont continued to be dry and sunny, though windy and as the sun got lower, there was a chill in the air.

Joanne Orr claimed a hat trick of goals for South Antrim

Limavady took the game to South Antrim in the 1st quarter creating several chances but couldn’t convert any. In the dying moments Joanne Orr converted a penalty corner to put South Antrim 1-0 up, somewhat against the run of play. South Antrim led 1-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.

The goal changed the momentum in the 2nd quarter. Now it was Limavady on the backfoot, as South Antrim took control. The Limavady defence held out and the game reached halftime 1-0 in South Antrim’s . . .
